20 November 2015, King & Wood Mallesons partner Mr Sun Mingfei has been ranked as one of Asian Legal Business (ALB) China’s Top 15 IP Lawyers for 2015. This award is given to 15 standout intellectual property (IP) lawyers throughout China who demonstrate exceptional skills in the practice of law. Lawyers are selected on the basis of their recent achievements, their broader career successes including client wins and feedback from clients and the market.
Mr Sun specialises in IP and antitrust litigation as well as real estate, finance, corporate services litigation and arbitration. Mr Sun is adept in handling complicated general commercial and IP litigation cases and has acted as legal counsel for numerous internationally-renowned organisations in relation to significant disputes. During his 20 years of legal practice, Mr Sun has spent 11 years working at a trial Court and a further nine years in the IP court. One of the cases heard by Mr Sun has since been recognised by the Supreme People’s Court as one of the National Top 10 IP Cases. Mr Sun has also advised on the enactment of and revisions to the PRC Patent Law, Copyright Law and judicial explanations.
