On 22 February 2017, Jack Wang, Head of Finance & Capital Markets at King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) won the title of Finance Lawyer of the Year at the fourth annual Asia Legal Awards Ceremony, hosted by The Asian Lawyer in association with China Law & Practice, The American Lawyer and Legal Week. Advised the joint lead managers by KWM, Geely’s $400M green bond, the Chinese auto industry’s first ever offshore green bonds issuance, was also named the Securities Deal of the Year: Debt, at the ceremony. As one of Asia’s most renowned ceremony for the legal elite, the Asia Legal Awards honor the best work in the region. Across its coverage of practice areas and disciplines, the Awards intend to identify the biggest and most important commercial legal matters that involved lawyers and law firms in Asia.
