On 22 February 2018, King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) partner Mr. Gao Feng has been named to 2018 China TOP 15 Litigators by Asian Legal Business (ALB) for his excellent performance and wide recognition by clients. ALB China research team annually selects the top 15 litigators in China who are representative and influential in the industry based on their high-profile cases, clients’ recommendations and feedback from the market.
Mr. Gao Feng specializes in cross-border dispute resolution, and dispute over corporate control, particularly acquisition and reverse takeover of listed companies. In equity investment, Mr. Gao has represented quite a number of listed companies in acquisitions and reverse takeovers, and cracked the companies’ deadlock with innovative resolution in many disputes over control of listed and non-listed companies and family enterprises. Mr. Gao represented many groundbreaking cases, for instance, helping Kingkey Group Co., Ltd. win court’s invalidation of listed company’s board resolution which restricts shareholder rights, and helping Shenzhen Great Walle Asset Management Co., Ltd. win the court’s entity identification of legality and legal consequences of listed company’s takeover action. Mr. Gao currently acts as an arbitrator at CIETAC and SCIA, and mediation expert at CIETAC South China Mediation Center. He is also a mediator of Shenzhen Securities and Futures Dispute Resolution Center.
