On January 23, 2025, the Anti-Monopoly and Anti-unfair Competition Committee of the State Council formally issued the Anti-Monopoly Guidelines for the Pharmaceutical Field (“Pharmaceutical Guidelines”), which provide systematic and comprehensive guidance on the behavioural types, manifestations, and characteristics of anticompetitive conducts in the pharmaceutical industry, and put forward regulatory framework for the increasingly discreet and complex anticompetitive conducts in the pharmaceutical industry.
