On January 30, 2026, China’s eight ministries and departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology , the Cyberspace Administration of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Data Administration, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Transport, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued the Guidelines for Security of Automotive Data Cross-border Transfer (2026 Edition) , which have entered into force immediately.
